Mission and Heritage Week October 2017
An invitation to all those in our Felician-Sponsored Ministries, Central Convents, Care Centers and Local Homes
February 15, 2017
As is our practice, every year we celebrate Mission and Heritage Week in October, usually October 4th through 10th. It is an event which recognizes the rich Felician-Franciscan tradition and spirituality which inspired the establishment of our many, diverse ministries. In 2017 the theme chosen is:
Past experience has taught us that a concrete image is most helpful in “breaking open” the meaning of the theme. We are extending an invitation to all Felician Sisters, to all employees, and to all in our sponsored ministries to submit an original image, using some type of visual media, to be used on a poster for Mission and Heritage Week.
An electronic version of the image created [high resolution: no smaller than 3MB, but no bigger than 10MB] can be submitted on this website by clicking the submissions tab right on this website page no later than April 30th. The artist of the image chosen will be given recognition and his or her art published both in our Province Update and in our Felician Magazine. The poster image will be showcased throughout the North American Province in our sponsored ministries, convents and care centers. The winning artist will also receive, as an expression of our appreciation, a monetary gift of $100.
It is with much anticipation that we look forward to getting your creative, original art. We hope that Sisters, students, faculty and employees take up this challenge.
Peace and all good!
